Lens design with magnetic attachment
The lens cap features a magnetic attachment design, which protects the lens 360 degrees all around, provides better protection, is dustproof and easier to attach and remove. It avoids the problems of loose snap caps and dust intrusion with two-point snap designs.
Magnetic filters can be attached directly to the lens, providing a more convenient way to use filters.

Effectively regulate light exposure, in environments with sufficient light, the shutter speed is likely to be too fast when using a wide aperture, affecting the video viewing experience. With the Kase magic filter for large apertures, you can slow down the shutter speed and ensure the smoothness of dynamic shots.
Design with two customizable function buttons
Due to the limitations of SONY cameras' custom button settings, only one function can be assigned to a custom button on E-mount lenses. Based on feedback from many photographers, Kase designed two customizable buttons on the lens. The FN2 button is set to the minimum focusing distance. A single press switches the lens to the minimum focusing distance and a long press locks the current focusing distance. This feature provides more convenient and faster operation.
Aperture switching: position A defaults to maximum aperture F1.4
The aperture adjustment ring has precise click stops for each aperture setting, making it easier to set the desired aperture. When set to position A, the aperture automatically switches to maximum aperture F1.4, so there is no need to reset it. Every detail is designed with user convenience in mind.
Optical design: 10 groups of 13 elements
Excellent image quality, superior image resolution and true-to-life color reproduction. Even at the fully opened aperture of F1.4, the image remains clear and sharp. The use of elements with low dispersion and high refractive index significantly improves the optical quality of the lens and reduces glare and ghosting. Even in backlit conditions, the lens can produce high-contrast, high-definition images with high color accuracy. Preferably, use the lens hood to reduce glare.
